We had the opportunity to have a short visit with some of my family from Finland (i know it doesn't look like they are from Finland b/c they don't have the blonde hair but they are the few in my family with dark hair) Anyways, we had a wonderful visit. They were at my sister's house first then they drove up to our place for dinner then had to continue with all their travel plans. They were still heading to NYC and San Francisco. They were making their rounds though. Even though it was a quick visit it was nice to see them. I haven't seen my cousin in over 10 years. Everyone has grown up a bit.
I prepared a nice dinner so that we can enjoy each others company at our house. I made some lemon chicken with pesto farfalle along with strawberry spinach salad. It turned out great and I enjoyed entertaining especially for family I hardly get to see.
Daniel also painted our rocking chairs on the front porch. They look so much better now. The white were so hard to keep clean so we decided to do black and I added some monogrammed toile pillows I thought they turned out great.
