Sweet and Sassy!

Why didn't they have this kind of stuff when I was little. I am not sure who had more fun at this birthday party, her or mommy! Madi got invited to a sweet friend of hers birthday party, it was held at a hair salon named Sweet and Sassy. This isn't just any hair salon, its a "little girls dream come true hair salon." She first got to pick out the perfect princess dress and then got made over as a little princess. She loved all the pampering! Then they did a little fashion show for the mommys to show off there new princess looks. Later they enjoyed dancing and of course some birthday cake. I love to see her with such a huge smile on her face and having so much fun.

Hats Off to our Little Graduate!

OK before you know it we are going to be doing the same thing for High School! Where does the time go so fast! We are so proud of our little Madi. She had a great year and loved school. Madi went into Kindergarten knowing her letters....now she is reading and writing short sentences. She also learned to tell time and simple adding and some subraction. We love our little Madi! She will be going to a new school next year and at this school she will be there a full day and eat lunch there as well. I think that is what she is most excited about!

Mothers Day

Well as some of you know our Mothers Day started out pretty eventful. Everyone was asleep, suddenly I was awakened by loud winds and a tornado siren going off. I woke Daniel up (because if you know Daniel well enough he would have slept right through it even if the tornado hit the house), we quickly turned on the news. Sure enough the destructive storm was heading our way...then the power went out. We quickly gathered the kids and headed to the basement into my sewing room. We all bundled up on my couch and sat in candlelight hoping and praying we would be safe and sound. Thankfully we were ok and God protected our family. The damage from the storm was awful, some areas of Macon got hit pretty bad.

After the storm had passed my sweet husband went around town searching for Coffee (believe it was hard to find) and breakfast. He still wanted me to have a nice Mothers Day breakfast! Isn't he sweet. We enjoyed our hot coffee and Panera Bread bagels, it was great. Church got canceled that a.m. due to the storm so we spent some quality time together that a.m. and then headed to Grandma's town, Perry for a nice Mothers Day Lunch. As we headed that way we were shocked to see all the damage, and felt bad that some families were having to spend their mothers day with such a disaster. This Mothers Day will stick in my head forever. We were so blessed to be ok. My heart and prayers go out to others in Macon whos houses were destroyed. Our town was fortunate though, there were no deaths.
